We chose one of the world’s most beautiful and fertile environments for our flock. Our happy hens enjoy an idyllic life - roaming free and basking in the Northland sunshine before resting at night in spacious safe barns and producing what we believe to be the tastiest eggs in New Zealand.

Our hens are free to roam our farms - forage, scratch, perch and dust bath while enjoying fresh air everyday.

Our hens are fed a diet full of wholesome natural grains, which helps to support their health and wellbeing and produce an equally wholesome and healthy egg. Full of flavour, essential vitamins and minerals, our free range eggs have vibrant, rich yolks and strong natural shells.

We also believe a good egg comes from the environment we create for our flock, as well as the ethical, sustainable practices we follow on our farm. It’s the way we prioritise animal welfare, protect our land and keep things honest and transparent from paddock to plate.

You’ll find our hens are free to roam on our farms in Otaika Valley, near Whangarei and Kaharoa near Rotorua.

At Otaika Valley Free Range Eggs, sustainability is part of how we farm, how we package our eggs and how we care for our hens and our environment.
From our packaging, which is made from 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper sources, to our entire packaging process being entirely carbon neutral, to planting hundreds of trees on our farms - we’re deliberately making a conscious effort and a positive impact to help reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to protecting our land and our environment for generations to come.
